We are seeking a2nd Shift Team Leadto lead our 2nd Shift WarehouseTeam at Dianne's Fine Desserts, a Dessert Holdings company, in Newburyport, MA.
- Monday Thursday, 4:30 pm 3:00 am
- $18.63/hr ( 2nd Shift differential of $1.63/hr)
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and support team members across warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, inventory movement, kitting, production storage, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure adherence to FIFO rotation standards and inventory accuracy procedures.
- Manage daily scheduling of team breaks and lunches in coordination with warehouse operations.
- Support the warehouse supervisor in executing daily plans and resolving operational issues.
- Oversee completion of documentation and system transactions accurately and on time.
- Ensure trailer inspections, temperature verification, and proper loading/unloading procedures are followed.
- Train team members on equipment and procedures such as pallet inverter operation, order picking, DSI transactions, and system usage.
- Monitor and coordinate small parcel shipments (e.g., UPS, AIT) to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain daily cycle count programs and support periodic physical inventory counts.
- Uphold GMP and safety standards and participate in audits (e.g., HACCP, GFSI/FSSC22000).
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lead small projects to drive efficiency.
- Serve as coverage for any warehouse role as needed to maintain continuity of operations.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in business or logistics preferred).
- 2-4 years of warehouse or distribution experience; supervisory experience a plus.
- Experience managing FIFO-based inventory rotation and team scheduling.
- Proficiency in general warehouse systems and technology; specific experience with:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- DSI (Data Systems International)
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Forklift and pallet jack operation (certification preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold or ambient warehouse environments.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
