What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembler position at Desoutter GmbH?
Your role
You will be part of our Package Assembler team reporting to . Your mission is to manufacture products according to detailed specifications and schedules. You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers.
Your day-to-day
- Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
- Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
- Conduct hydrostatic testing and other verification steps to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures, maintaining compliance with OSHA requirements and contributing to a safe work environment.
This role involves standing for extended periods, working in a temperature-variable environment.

Your location and working hours
This position is based at our Product Company in Voorheesville, United States (US). Standard shifts are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm, including a 30-minute meal break.
