Mammography Technologist

Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to -day functions in the Mammography area under the direction of the Clinic Administartor. Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed practioner. Exercises professional judgment in providing heath care services. The shifts will be 4 days a week with 9 hours per day. The maximum hourly rate is based entirely on the candidate's experience. Please review the employer-paid benefits listed in this job summary!

Duties

• Perform mammography procedures with precision, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for imaging sessions by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and addressing any concerns to foster a comfortable experience.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluation across various imaging modalities such as DEXA scans
• Keep detailed records of imaging procedures, patient information, and technical parameters in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques, including sonography applications relevant to breast imaging.

Experience

• Proven experience operating mammography equipment within a healthcare setting, preferably at a hospital or clinic.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy (especially breast anatomy), physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
• Prior work in emergency room environments or urgent care settings is highly desirable to handle urgent cases efficiently.
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control standards essential for safe imaging practices.

Pay: $28.00 - $50.00 per hour

• Mammography: 2 years (Required)
• Medical Clinic or Hospital: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• ARRT (M) Certification (Required)
