Medical Director Veterinarian | Alamogordo, NM
An established small animal practice is seeking a Medical Director to lead its clinical team while continuing to practice high-quality veterinary medicine. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to small animal patients
Oversee clinical standards and ensure quality patient outcomes
Mentor and support associate veterinarians and clinical team members
Develop and maintain medical protocols and standard operating procedures
Partner with hospital leadership to align medical and operational goals
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
Active veterinary license (or ability to obtain licensure)
Strong clinical and surgical proficiency
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred
