Medical Director – St. Johnsbury, VT
An established small animal hospital in the St. Johnsbury area is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead its clinical team and drive excellence in patient care. This role is ideal for a motivated veterinarian who enjoys combining hands-on medicine with mentorship and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and mentorship to the veterinary team
Deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to patients
Develop and implement clinical protocols that enhance efficiency and care standards
Collaborate with staff to promote teamwork, professional development, and client satisfaction
Build lasting relationships with clients and the community through clear communication and trust
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited institution
Active veterinary license (or eligibility) in Vermont
Proven leadership skills and a commitment to continuous learning
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Ability to manage both medical and administrative aspects of a clinical team
Compensation & Benefits
