A veterinary practice is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to provide clinical leadership while delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership while maintaining a high standard of veterinary care.

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Mentor and support veterinarians, technicians, and support staff through coaching, training, and professional development.

• Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

• Establish and uphold medical protocols, quality standards, and best practices.

• Collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize workflows, operational performance, and client satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records while ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and developing veterinary team members.

• Maintain an active clinical caseload while balancing leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

• Active or eligible veterinary license in the state of practice.

• Previous clinical experience required.

• Leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
