DVM Surgeon Veterinarian– Wasilla, AK
A growing veterinary hospital is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to help develop and lead surgical services within a collaborative and patient-focused practice. This role offers the opportunity to perform advanced surgical procedures while helping expand surgical care in an underserved region and working alongside an experienced veterinary team.
Responsibilities

Perform advanced surgical procedures for companion animal patients

Diagnose surgical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans

Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care

Collaborate with veterinarians and clinical staff to provide comprehensive patient treatment

Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation

Support the development and growth of surgical services within the hospital
Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university

Board-certified surgeon or residency-trained veterinarian (surgery)

Strong clinical and surgical skills in small animal medicine

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
