About the Role:
The Professional Services Billing Analyst is responsible for managing the billing processes, which include creating invoices, tracking payments, resolving billing issues and ensuring accurate financial records for professional services.
What You'll Do:
- Own the operational and financial lifecycle of projects, from contract review through invoicing and closeout
- Set up and manage project terms in the ERP system; monitor WIP and project financial performance
- Prepare, submit, and support accurate project invoicing and assist with AR as needed
- Partner with Project Managers, Accounting, and Leadership to ensure financial health and fee alignment
- Prepare monthly reporting, financial analysis, and ad hoc insights to support leadership decision‑making
- Lead or support meetings focused on project financial and operational status
What We're Looking For:
- 5 years of experience in professional services billing
- Strong understanding of ERP/billing systems and financial reporting
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
Minimum (Required) Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 5 years of experience in professional services billing.
- Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the office equipment, recordkeeping systems, management information systems, and related protocols used in the organization.
- Computer literacy and ability to learn time tracking and billing system(s).
- Understanding of schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and tactful interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance or related field.

At DeSimone Consulting Engineering, we’re committed to transparency—especially when it comes to compensation. The salary range listed reflects what we believe, in good faith, is a fair and competitive range for this role based on the market and location.
This is a salaried, exempt position with an anticipated base salary range of $60,000–$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Most candidates are typically hired near the midpoint of the range, ensuring a balanced and equitable approach across our team.
