Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer/Furniture Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and reupholstering a variety of furniture pieces, ensuring each item meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your expertise will help bring custom furniture designs to life, blending traditional techniques with modern manufacturing processes. Duties
- Interpret specifications to accurately assemble and upholster furniture components
- Reupholster furniture using various upholstery techniques, including fabric and leather application
- Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, sewing machines, and sewing techniques to cut fabrics and assemble furniture parts
- Repair and maintain upholstery on existing furniture pieces, restoring them to optimal condition
- Cut fabric materials manually with precision to ensure proper fit and finish
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or assembling large furniture components
- Work with woodworking tools to construct or modify wooden frames and structures in accordance with design specifications
Qualifications
- Experience in upholstery, furniture building, or related manufacturing fields preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of upholstery techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, sewing machines, and manual cutting equipment
- Experience in woodworking and assembly of furniture components
- Physical capability for manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the workday
- Excellent manual dexterity combined with a keen eye for quality craftsmanship
