As a Traffic Engineer, you will be instrumental in applying critical thinking, problem-solving, and versatile skills to work alongside a team of dedicated engineers, supporting project managers on a variety of dynamic projects. Your contributions will help ensure technical excellence and promote a collaborative, and innovative environment.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) and related transportation analyses for private development projects.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze traffic count data, turning movement counts, and field observations.
  • Build and maintain traffic models in Synchro and SimTraffic to evaluate existing and future conditions.
  • Support project managers and senior engineers with client deliverables, quality control, and deadlines.
  • Support preparation of technical reports, memos, and presentations for clients and review agencies.
  • Coordinate with local jurisdictions and review agencies to support permitting and approval processes.
  • Attend and participate in industry events, conferences, and professional organization meetings to stay current with best practices and expand professional networks.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in relevant work experience.
  • Experience in transportation engineering or traffic engineering.
  • Exposure to Synchro, AutoCAD, or Vissim.
  • In possession or pursuit of EIT.
  • Passion for collaboration throughout the development and execution of projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
