Part-Time IT Financial Analyst (Scan Based Trading Systems)

Position Summary

The IT Financial Analyst (Scan-Based Trading Systems) will support both the Finance and IT departments by serving as the key liaison between financial operations and system functionality. Reporting jointly to the VP of IT and the Controller, this position ensures that the Scan-Based Trading (SBT) financial system operates efficiently, securely, and aligns with accounting standards and business goals.

The Analyst will translate finance requirements into system solutions, manage integrations, maintain data integrity, and support process improvements across both departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for the Scan-Based Trading (SBT) financial system, including configuration, maintenance, and user support.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance leadership to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Document system processes and provide user training and ongoing support.
• Establish and create dashboard for frequency of each SBT customer.
• Maintain and Administer SBT files
• Manage the whole process of SBT
• Manage SBT reports
• Review submitted files before posting to Sage
• Ensure validity of each invoice and compare to files submitted by the customer.
• Inform Billing Manager – Approval to post invoices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting financial systems (Scan-Based Trading system experience strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize ERP or accounting systems.
• Proven success collaborating between Finance and IT departments.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP or accounting software integration (e.g., Sage 100).
• Familiarity with data analytics tools

Employment Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Hourly Range: $27.50 – $ 32.00 per hour (equivalent to approximately $28,600–$33,280 annually), based on experience, technical proficiency, and expertise in Scan-Based Trading (SBT) systems.
