What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Coating Helper/Apprentice position at Designer Concrete of the Palm Beaches?
We are looking for a reliable helper/apprentice to join our decorative concrete and floor coating team. This is an entry-level position. Experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. We install decorative concrete coatings, epoxy floors, flake floors, pool deck coatings, driveway coatings, overlays, staining, sealing, grinding, and concrete resurfacing systems.
Job Duties: Help prep concrete surfaces for coatings and resurfacing, assist with pressure washing, grinding, taping, masking, cleaning, mixing, carrying materials, and jobsite setup. Help installers during coating, overlay, epoxy, flake, staining, and sealing projects. Keep tools, equipment, truck, and jobsite clean and organized. Follow directions and learn our installation process. Work outdoors and on active job sites throughout Palm Beach County and surrounding areas.
Requirements: Must be reliable and show up on time. Must be willing to work hard and learn. Must be able to lift materials, carry tools, and work on your feet. Must have transportation to meet at job sites or company meeting location. Must be respectful, clean, and professional around customers. Construction, painting, concrete, landscaping, pressure washing, or flooring experience is a plus, but not required. Spanish-speaking or bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This job is best for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade, is dependable and serious about working, does not mind physical work, wants the opportunity to grow with a small company, can follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Pay depends on experience, reliability, and ability to learn. Entry-level/helper pay starts based on experience and performance. Opportunity for raises as skills improve. Schedule: Full-time or part-time depending on workload. Daytime work, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays as needed. Must be available early mornings.
