Project Coordinator / Drafter

We are hiring for the role of Project Coordinator/Drafter. The Project Coordinator is responsible for turning project requirements into accurate, complete, and production-ready drawings and supporting the Project Manager in the organization and execution of projects.

This position combines technical drafting with project coordination. The Project Coordinator works closely with the Project Manager to ensure measurements, drawings, revisions, selections, and project documentation accurately reflect the approved project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Drawing Development

·         Create accurate cabinet drawings based on project plans, specifications, measurements, and information provided by the Project Manager.

·         Follow Designed Cabinets drafting and Cabinet Vision standards.

Drawing Revisions

·         Confirm requested changes are clearly understood before revising drawings.

·         Communicate changes that may affect scope, price, engineering, production, or installation.

Site Measurement

·         Accurately document field conditions and dimensions.

·         Incorporate verified measurements into project drawings.

Project Coordination

·         Serve as secondary support for creating and maintaining work orders.

·         Participate in customer meetings when drawing, measurement, or technical information is needed.

Selections & Approvals

·         Maintain accurate drawing information based on approved selections.

·         Coordinate stain sample and sign-off documentation with the Project Manager.

Pre-Production Review

·         Double-check drawings and selections prior to production.

·         Work with the Project Manager and Estimator to resolve discrepancies before release.

Final Review & Handoff

·         Participate in the final project review.

·         Ensure information required by Engineering and Production is clearly communicated.

Experience with Cabinet Vision is recommended. Experience with other custom millwork and cabinetry software will be considered in lieu of. Knowledge of residential custom cabinetry is preferred. Experience with ERP Innergy is recognized as a plus.
