Pay Range: 75k to 100k depending on experience

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Fertilizer Supervisor who brings strong horticultural knowledge, understands irrigation systems, and knows how to create healthy growing environments for lawns and plant material. This person will oversee our fertilizer program, support our irrigation service line, diagnose landscape issues, and help educate both our team and our clients. What You Will Do
Fertilizer and Plant Health
- Lead and manage the fertilizer program for both residential and commercial clients.
- Diagnose turf issues, soil health concerns, and plant health symptoms.
- Apply fertilizers and treatments according to state regulations and product guidelines.
- Track applications accurately through internal systems and maintain compliance logs.
- Recommend improvements to lawns, soil conditions, and overall property health.
Irrigation Knowledge
- Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation systems including heads, lines, valves, and controllers.
- Perform minor repairs and support irrigation startups and shutdowns.
- Make recommendations on system upgrades, water efficiency, and coverage improvements.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and train team members in best horticultural practices.
- Support the creation of a stronger internal education program for fertilizer and irrigation.
- Work closely with our project managers, designers, and maintenance crews for cohesive, high quality results.
Client Interaction
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and treatment plans with clarity and professionalism.
- Provide education to homeowners and commercial facility managers as needed.
General
- Maintain equipment and vehicles to company standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with seasonal operations, including snow services when necessary.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of horticulture, turf management, fertilizer application, or plant health care experience.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and comfort performing basic to intermediate repairs.
- NH pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong understanding of New England plants, soil conditions, turf varieties, and pest challenges.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of outcomes.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and ongoing learning.
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
Bonus Experience
- Turfgrass, horticulture, environmental science, or related education.
- Experience leading crews or training staff.
- Strong communication skills and customer service experience.
