JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate 5-axis Mori Seiki machining centers.
- Set up and operate Mori Seiki horizontal machining centers.
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process sheets as well as install fixtures, tooling and probes.
- Conduct first article inspections and in-process inspections.
- Perform tool touch-offs and offsets.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as needed.
- Work closely with programmers and production team to improve cycle time.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 year experience in CNC setup experience with Mori Seiki machines (5-axis preferred) & Horizontal machining experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings required
- Working knowledge of GD&T Methodology and experience tight tolerance parts and experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.).
- CNC lath setup experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Fanuc or Mori control systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
