Design South Builders is a custom residential design-build firm with a variety of projects in the Cashiers/Highlands area of North Carolina.
Project Manager (Full-time)
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall home building process from foundation through completion
- Work within budgetary constraints and reasonable construction timelines
- Manage client meetings and guide the decision-making process
- Schedule materials, subcontractors, and employees
- Analyze plans and form material take-offs
- Work with Design Managers to meet client needs on a regular basis
- Prioritize various job needs
- Manage client expectations
- Delegate to employees while assessing productivity
- Help to maintain and organize inventory of material for jobs
- Perform cost analysis
- Develop and maintain respectful relationships with subcontractors and county inspectors
Job Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of residential construction and the building process
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects with different timelines
- Effective collaboration with other project managers and employees in a team-based environment
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to take direction from upper management
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Hands-on construction experience (not required but a plus)
Business Hours
- 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch)
