Wire Processing Machine Operator

As a Wire Processing Machine Operator you will be an integral part of our success and growth. This role is responsible for operating and service the Komax machine’s computer interface and more!

This is a 1st shift opening: Monday-Thursday 4x9x4 schedule with flexible start time option of 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and service the Komax machine’s computer interface
• Provide additional support as business needs dictate on all other wire processing machines
• Load and unload reels of wire and terminal
• Ensure that machine guards are in place and operate machine in a safe manner at all times
• Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams
• Maintain a safe, organized and efficient work area
• Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required
• Perform rework as needed
• Maintain production restock as to not slow down production
• Identify and assist in process improvement measures
• Perform other tasks needed to produce processed wire for production

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent
• ERP experience desired
• High motivation level and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work with independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work well with others
• Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
• Good math and communication skills
• Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English without the aid of an interpreter
• Ability to work overtime depending on work load
• Lifting up to 50-85 lbs. occasionally with assistance

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive Hourly Pay :$23.00-$26.00 DOE

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
