What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perforex Machine Operator position at Design Ready Controls, Inc?
Join Design Ready Controls as a CNC Perforex Operator and help produce precision enclosures and back panels that power our customers’ equipment. You’ll work with advanced machinery, partner closely with engineering, and play a key role in turning designs into real product on the floor.
This is a 1st shift position. 1st shift hours are Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
What You’ll Do
- Operate the Perforex to modify enclosures and back panels for production.
- Locate and run the correct program numbers from job folders.
- Change out machine tools (cutting bits, etc.) correctly and safely.
- Deburr panels after machining and inspect for damage, initiating the MRB process when needed.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on the Perforex.
- Safely load and unload enclosures and back panels.
- Work on prototype panels with direct assistance from Engineering.
- Use bills of materials, assembly drawings/instructions, and DFX/2D drawings to complete work accurately.
- Maintain a safe, organized, efficient, 5S-focused work area and support lean/continuous improvement.
- Assist in other manufacturing areas as needed and help promote a strong customer-focus across the team.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year machining/technical degree preferred.
- Experience with CNC machining and/or programming is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills; able to spot design issues or incompatible applications.
- High mechanical aptitude and willingness to suggest improvements.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Good math skills and demonstrated computer skills.
- Able to work independently and communicate well with others.
- Lift 50–85 lbs occasionally (with assistance/lift tables).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive Hourly Pay: $24.00-$26.00 DOE

This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
