About the Position
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Graphic Artist to help support the pet, children’s and adult apparel and accessory business in Nashville, TN. This position will be a key artistic player across multiple categories and will work with key company stakeholders and their retail clients across the Globe.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for the production of patterns, graphics and other design assets requested by the designers, as well as product tech sheets for the creation of prototypes and production samples. This position requires great attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment.The right candidate is creative, meticulous and shows great initiative and time management skills. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required. Experience with AI-assisted design tools is a plus.
Other specific duties include:
- Preparation of print-ready artwork for factories and customers
- Ability to create fun and innovative visual designs
- Collaborate with the design, art and production teams to create a collection from start to finish
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear communicator and ability to conceptualize work
- Must be a team player and be able to take direction
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Design portfolio showcasing dynamic experience
- Fluent in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop). Familiar with relevant software, design, and prototyping tools, materials and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with AI tools for graphic design, image generation, or creative ideation is preferred but not required. We value candidates who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivated
- Comfortable with deadlines and a fast-paced work environment
- Solid understanding of apparel construction and design, aesthetics, and brand identity
- Excellent drawing, layout and typography skills
- Ability to demonstrate skill in drawing and illustrating concepts
- Extensive use of a drawing tablet and computer mouse
- Excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills; must possess the ability to be intellectually curious
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in apparel design and production art
- Photography experience is a plus
Other:
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work in a seated or standing position for over 8 hours day.
- Extended viewing of a computer screen.
