We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse team and ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate operations.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse operations, personnel, and logistics activities to ensure that our warehouse is organized, efficient, and scalable. This role requires a balance of strong leadership, operational discipline, and comfort with modern warehouse systems and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations & Space Management
- Ensure the warehouse space is well managed, efficiently utilized, and clean at all times.
- Design and maintain an optimized pick flow and storage layout to improve efficiency.
- Oversee daily inbound and outbound logistics activities, including container unloading, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping.
Inventory Accuracy & Systems
- Maintain alignment between physical inventory and system records in Acumatica ERP.
- Oversee cycle counts and full physical counts, ensuring accuracy and process compliance.
- Identify and resolve root causes of inventory discrepancies.
Team Management & Labor Coordination
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of:
• 4 full-time warehouse staff
• 15–25 temp workers (10 regular 5–15 as needed)
- Plan daily and weekly labor requirements based on container schedules and order volume.
- Ensure safety, accountability, and teamwork within the warehouse.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other equipment are well maintained and ready for use.
- Coordinate with equipment service providers for preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Hire and oversee outside contractors (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, paving, etc.) to maintain the facility in top condition.
Freight & Logistics Management
- Negotiate rates and service levels with LTL and parcel carriers.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast inbound container arrivals and plan dock schedules.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field).
· 5 years of experience managing warehouse operations in a distribution or wholesale environment.
· Strong familiarity with Acumatica or similar ERP/WMS systems.
· Proficiency with Office 365 and comfortable adopting new software tools.
· Proven track record of improving warehouse efficiency and accuracy through process optimization and system use.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· OSHA safety knowledge and forklift certification.
