The Electrician assists the Superintendent, Foreman, or Leadman in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for commercial and industrial projects. This role ensures safe, efficient, and code-compliant electrical installations while supporting the success of every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely.
- Plan and execute installations from blueprints and specifications.
- Mentor less experienced workers and support crew leadership.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors.
- Manage materials responsibly to minimize waste.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of commercial electrical experience required.
- Current Journeyman’s License preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of handling multiple concurrent projects.
- Passion for the trade and commitment to Design Electric’s mission and values.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend throughout a work shift.
- Capable of performing physical labor safely and efficiently in varying environments.
