Design Consignment Gallery is hiring a part-time Design Showroom Associate in San Diego.
We’re looking for someone with the eye.
Someone who notices what’s off. Notices what’s good. Cares where the line is.
This is not a generic retail role. It is a taste-first showroom role for someone who can help shape a strong floor through styling, presentation, pricing support, writing, and client work.
We can teach process. We can’t teach taste.
What You’ll Do
- Support intake and approvals
- Style and stage furniture, art, and décor on the showroom floor
- Assist with pricing research and comps
- Write and refine product copy
- Help clients on the floor and support sales
- Maintain presentation standards and catch what needs fixing before customers do
- Move fast without getting sloppy
What We’re Really Looking For
- Strong visual judgment and attention to detail
- Reliable follow-through
- Creative, down to earth, and able to think on your feet
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, standards-driven environment
- Clear communication, in person and in writing
- Genuine interest in interiors, furniture, styling, visual merchandising, or showroom work
- Comfortable with email, phone apps, and basic digital tools
Requirements
- Available to work every Friday through Monday consistently
- Able to lift or move 40–50 lbs safely with help
- Reliable transportation [include driver’s license only if truly required]
