Design Collaborative is seeking a full-time Architectural Project Manager with the skill set and passion to lead the design process and a multi-disciplinary design team. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, and they will lead the design efforts on a wide range of commercial design projects. They will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of a project, including the project team, resources, scheduling, and budget. This individual will play a key role in the continued success of the team through their ability to build relationships, lead and manage projects, and assist with the mentorship and growth of team members. We are seeking Architectural Project Management professionals at the Assistant, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager levels. Candidates will be considered based on experience, skillset, project management autonomy level, and project/team leadership abilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an NCARB accredited school
  • Registered Architect (RA) licensure preferred
  • Commercial design experience in one or more of the following markets: Healthcare, Education, Workplace, Financial or Industrial.
  • 3 years’ experience working within a architecture/design firm
  • Assistant Project Manager: Experience supporting project teams, coordinating documentation, and assisting with schedules, budgets, and consultant communication
  • Project Manager: Independent management of projects or major project components, with responsibility for client coordination, consultant oversight, and delivery
  • Senior Project Manager: Leadership of complex projects, mentoring team members, managing client relationships, and contributing to strategic planning and quality oversight
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and coordinate schedules
  • Ability to shift from big picture awareness to technical details, ensuring the highest level of quality
  • Knowledge and understanding of BIM modeling
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills internally within a team as well as externally with current or prospective, clients, consultants, and members of the community
  • Strong leadership aptitude and a desire to grow in a leadership capacity
  • Experience successfully taking projects from programming through construction
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, design integrity, and timely delivery.
  • Team Coordination: Manage collaboration between in-house architecture, MEP, and interior design teams across both office locations.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop and manage project schedules, staffing, and budgets to meet deadlines and financial goals.
  • Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, guiding project vision and ensuring satisfaction throughout.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee design documentation, code compliance, and coordination of building systems.
  • Permitting & Approvals: Manage submittals, coordinate with local jurisdictions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Construction Administration: Lead construction phase services including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists.
  • Mentorship: Support the development of junior staff and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
  • Multi-Office Collaboration: Ensure consistent project delivery and communication between both firm locations.
