Design America is a residential blueprint brokerage. We serve as a bridge between homebuyers/builders and home designers—helping our customers find, purchase, customize, and better understand house plans.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Customer Service Representative to support our daily operations and customer interactions. In this role, you’ll provide product and service information, assist with orders, and help resolve customer questions with accuracy, efficiency, and a positive attitude.
This position begins with in-person training and transitions into a flexible remote role. Team members also have the option to work from our office at Westport Plaza if preferred. Candidates working remotely should have a reliable computer and internet connection.
The role is approximately 15 hours per week, with additional hours available during busy periods or to cover team vacations. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Work will be scheduled within these hours, and we’re happy to collaborate with the right candidate to create a schedule that fits around classes or other commitments.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers with questions
- Research and respond to customer inquiries
- Accurately enter and manage customer orders
- Communicate with blueprint designers and publishing partners
- Perform light data entry and assist with website updates
- Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth operations
- Identify customer needs and deliver effective solutions
- Handle customer concerns with professionalism and follow through to resolution
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Follow established communication procedures and internal guidelines
- Go the extra mile to create a positive customer experience
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service and/or sales
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Reliable computer and internet access
- Previous remote work experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, ChatGPT, and general internet navigation
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- High school diploma
- Familiarity with blueprints, architecture, or construction is a plus
