The Warehouse Shift Lead directs and oversees a team of Material Handlers while working alongside the team. In addition, the Lead is responsible for product identification, product loading/unloading and overall warehouse appearance.

The Warehouse Shift Lead directs and oversees a team of Material Handlers while working alongside the team. In addition, the Lead is responsible for product identification, product loading/unloading and overall warehouse appearance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities on a daily basis
- Assist the Leadership Team in the running of the warehouse in a safe, clean and orderly manner
- Assist the Leadership Team in establishing Stand Operating Procedures (SOP) for the warehouse team
- Ensure safety is top of mind at all times
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on monthly warehouse location metrics
- Lead warehouse employees to ensure daily tasks are completed per customer orders placed
- Train new employees as well as continuous improvement training of all employees
- Maintain a variety of records, files and reports
- Work directly with the Leadership Team and Will Call Lead
- Ensure and verify all orders are pulled and loaded accurately as assigned for daily deliveries
- Assist team in pulling and loading the trucks for the next day’s routes
- Stage orders according to truck location and verify accuracy of pallets, etc.
- Recognize damaged product at any point the process and take appropriate action
- Operate forklift or other warehouse machinery in a safe manner at all times
- Performs housekeeping duties and other tasks with warehouse appearance and safety in mind
