Role Description The Installer role at Design 446 is a full-time, on-site position based in Manasquan, NJ. This role is responsible for installing a variety of marketing and branding materials, such as signage, displays, graphics, and environmental branding elements at client locations and within the agency’s workspace. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing installation instructions and project specifications, preparing materials and tools, safely transporting and handling products, and ensuring precise, high-quality placement and finish. The Installer works closely with the production and design teams to confirm measurements, resolve installation challenges, and maintain project timelines. This role may involve working both indoors and outdoors, using hand and power tools, and adhering to safety and quality standards on every job.
Qualifications
- Hands-on installation skills, including experience with signage, display, or graphic installations, and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Basic technical and mechanical abilities, including reading measurements, using installation hardware, and following detailed instructions or diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to ensure accurate alignment, clean finishes, and professional presentation of materials.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with design, production, and project management staff, and to interact professionally at client sites.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Physical ability to perform installations, including standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying materials, and working on ladders or similar equipment as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to local client locations, when required.
- Previous experience in installation, construction, sign-making, exhibit setup, or a related field is preferred but not required.
