Position: Service Technician II
Location: Indiana Service
The Service Technician II will travel to customer production facilities to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electric overhead bridge cranes and related material handling equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of crane service technician experience.
- Proficient in troubleshooting all electrical controls related to overhead cranes – AC, DC, static step-less, and variable frequency drives
- Proficient in troubleshooting all mechanical components of an overhead crane
- Proficient in the ability to read and understand prints and drawings
- Shows the ability to perform runway surveys
- Shows the ability to perform structural upgrade, re-span of crane, runway repairs, etc.
- Shows the leadership required to manage projects with multiple technicians performing several different tasks
- Ability to work extended hours, and on holidays, as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
- Lift /Carry up to 80 pounds unassisted.
- Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
- Ability to push/pull up to 300 pounds.
- Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
- Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
- Possess the ability to hear.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Subject to working frequently at considerable heights.
- Exposure to hot and cold conditions.
