Responsibilities

• Perform thorough carpet cleaning using advanced equipment such as steam cleaners, extractors, and buffing machines to remove dirt, stains, and allergens.
• Conduct floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, and sealing to restore the shine and durability of various flooring types.
• Execute janitorial and custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
• Identify areas requiring special attention or repair and communicate maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning operations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain cleaning equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning tools after use, and reporting any malfunctions or repairs needed.
• Document completed tasks accurately in logs or reports to ensure accountability and quality assurance.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or environmental services with a focus on commercial or janitorial settings.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and carpet cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as steam cleaners, extractors, buffers, and vacuums effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy equipment or supplies throughout shifts.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
