Operations Manager

Overview

Oversees 24/7 plant production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent performance. Ensures all applicable quality, food safety, regulatory, and company standards are met. Assists in developing and implementing processes that maximize safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and stewardship.

Supports the development and achievement of major operational goals aligned with broader functional and organizational objectives. Provides leadership and direction while promoting a positive, accountable, and results-driven work environment.

Main Position Responsibilities:

• Foster a team environment of strong communication, collaboration, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
• Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
• Foster a culture that includes an open, high trust, learning environment.
• Drive overall plant operations which may include finance, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, human resources, and information systems.
• Assist in developing a culture of high trust, clear metrics, leading indicators, ownership, and accountability.
• Assist with aligning objectives within each function to achieve the business strategic goals.; including safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and people development.
• Observe daily operations to ensure facility performance is aligned to and achieves business objectives in the areas of safety, quality, sanitation, maintenance, productivity, and people development.
• In conjunction with Director of Plant Operations, coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the manufacturing objectives are accomplished and contribute to the overall success and instill a culture of accountability to perform against these objectives.
• Provide maintenance guidance to our sister facility.
• Understand and ensure all regulatory compliance standards are met.
• Ensure technical objectives are met and any roadblocks or issues are quickly resolved.
• This role will lead between 5 employees (Salary), up to 110 indirect employees, strategic partners, and suppliers.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
