What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Clerk position at Desert Premium Group LLC?
The Production Clerkis responsible for completing the daily production tasks and procedures for the company's salsa plant operations. Production practices and procedures need to meet both USDA and FDA standards for production cleanliness and readiness.
Essential Functions:
· Perform a specific departmental production practice and procedure including, but not limited to: kitchen cooking operations, mixing operations, product assembly operations, product packaging operations, and product processing/filling operations, inspecting/sorting salsa products
· Perform specific production procedure to maximum effect as evidenced by successfully performing against internal and external audits
· Operating knowledge of food production equipment including, but not limited to fillers, kettles, conveyors, case erectors, case packers
· Operating knowledge of LOTO procedures
· Work cross functionally with Quality Assurance to minimize quality issues, adhere to CCPs and proactively address food safety requirements related to USDA, FDA, SQF, and organic requirements in order to maintain the highest food safety and quality standards
· Interacts with regulatory compliance agencies (i.e. USDA, FDA, etc.) as needed
· Takes personal responsibility for achieving production goals and standards in the company’s operations
