What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Support Technician position at Desert Orthopaedic Center-Surgery Center?
Provides support within the surgical suite under the direction and supervision of the OR Manager (RN) and circulating registered nurse. The position is focused on operating room turnovers, room readiness and supply support. patient contact is limited to assisting licensed staff with transfer and positioning at the direction of the circulating RN. The position does not provide direct nursing care and does not function as a member of the sterile team.
Responsible for between- case cleaning, room set up, and readiness of the operating room for the net case in accordance with established infection prevention policies and procedures.
Assists the Materials manager with stocking, replenishment , and movement of supplies to support the surgical suite.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
