Automotive Porter / Lube Technician
Desert Oasis European Auto Service & Repair – Las Vegas, NV
Pay: $18.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience
Desert Oasis European Auto Service & Repair is looking for a dependable and motivated Automotive Porter / Lube Technician to join our team.
This position is primarily focused on keeping the shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently. You will help with vehicle movement, shop cleanup, washing vehicles, test drives, fluid and waste handling, and general support throughout the facility.
The right candidate should also have basic automotive experience and be capable of performing routine maintenance and lube technician duties when needed.

ResponsibilitiesPorter / Shop Support
- Keep the shop, work areas, floors, and common areas clean and organized
- Empty waste oil drums, fluid containers, trash, and other shop waste as required
- Maintain and clean oil drain equipment and fluid collection areas
- Wash and clean client vehicles as needed
- Move vehicles throughout the property and between work areas
- Test drive client vehicles before and after repairs as directed
- Pick up or deliver vehicles, parts, and supplies when needed
- Keep parking and vehicle staging areas organized
- Assist technicians with moving vehicles, equipment, and supplies
- Help maintain shop supplies and notify management when supplies are running low
- Perform general shop cleanup and organization throughout the day
- Follow all shop safety, environmental, and waste-handling procedures
Lube Technician Duties
- Perform engine oil and filter services
- Perform basic fluid services
- Rotate tires and check tire pressures
- Inspect and replace basic maintenance items such as air and cabin filters
- Perform basic vehicle inspections
- Check and top off vehicle fluids
- Assist technicians with basic repairs and maintenance services
- Document work performed accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow shop procedures and manufacturer service information
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old due to regular test driving of client vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Clean and acceptable driving record
- Comfortable driving a wide variety of client vehicles
- Basic automotive knowledge or previous automotive experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move automotive parts, tires, equipment, and supplies
- Comfortable working on your feet throughout the day
- Willing to clean, organize, wash vehicles, and perform physical shop-support duties
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
European vehicle experience is helpful but not required. We are primarily looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn.
