Desert Hope Social Services is hiring a compassionate, dependable, bilingual Child Supervision Provider / Supervised Visit Monitor to support children and families involved with Texas DFPS services.
This role includes supervising family visits and serving as part of our Hospital Sitting and Child Without Placement (CWOP) reserve teams to provide support during critical care and placement transitions.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise visits between children and parents/caregivers in accordance with Texas DFPS guidelines
- Ensure child safety and emotional well-being during visits
- Observe interactions and complete clear, objective documentation following each visit
- Support children during hospital stays or while awaiting placement as part of the reserve teams
- Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and trauma-informed care in all settings
- Travel between assigned visit locations as needed
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English & Spanish required
- Experience working with children, families, foster care, social services, behavioral health, or related field preferred
- Strong documentation and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and maintain confidentiality
- Reliable attendance and flexible availability
Schedule
- Part-Time
- Agency operating hours: Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Required availability between 3:00 PM–7:00 PM, with additional hours varying based on case needs
Pay
- Differential pay available for Hospital Sitting assignments
