Position Summary
Under direct supervision of the Cage Shift Manager, supervises Cage activities of the department by monitoring, performing, training, supervising the Cashiers, Machine Mechanics and Kiosk Fill Team Members.

Ensures compliance with all Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures, including Internal Controls (ICs)Applies fair and consistent supervisionAssists in hiring, termination, and disciplinary actionsAssists cashiers in buys and all even exchanges with the Cage areaAssist with the planning and budget preparation for the departmentPlans and administers work schedules and assignments for direct reportsAssists Cashiers in reconciliation during opening and closingAssists in training Cashiers, Machine Mechanics and Kiosk Fill Team Members of new/proper procedures of each window and cross-trains new team membersAssists in guests needs while supervising the Cashiers, Machine Mechanics and Kiosk Fill Team MembersMonitors the performance of direct reports, ensuring adherence to all TOGE and Departmental policies and proceduresSupervises Cage Cashiers, Machine Mechanics and Kiosk Fill Team Members and performs procedures to ensure transactions are properly completedCompletes daily depositsEnsures balancing of all cash banksVerifies daily soft count drop to main bank when cashier is unavailableMonitor and maintains kiosk and ATM status and balancesServices Kiosk and ATM to include full balancing midpoint adjustments, adding or decreasing currency, and the overall upkeep of supplies and maintenanceMakes change for guests and exchange coin/chip for cashVerifies cashier’s or Kiosk bank if a variance existsSafeguards Casino assetsMaintains excellent guest and team member relationsComplies with federal cash reporting requirementsTroubleshoots coin and currency counting equipment problemsMonitors Cashiers, Machine Mechanics and Kiosk Fill Team Members training needs and provides feedback to Cage ManagerContacts a team member of the Table Games pit to inform them of large casino chip transactions at the CageCompletes End of Month Cash Inventory counts and reports for Cage Managers and AccountingInitiates investigations of variancesVerifies daily paperwork for completion and accuracyCompletes Cashier, Machine Mechanics and Kiosk Fill Team Members annual performance reviewGenerates weekly work schedules of Cashiers, Machine Mechanics and Kiosk Fill Team MembersOrders supplies with AdministratorCleans Jet Scans and other cage equipment when necessaryMaintains excellent communication with team members and ManagersDocuments and informs Shift Manager of all incidents or disputes relating to guest, team member and inter-departmentsContributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as requiredCounsels and mentors cashiers on performanceMaintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or latenessDemonstrate Desert Diamond Casino “On Brand” attitude towards team members & guests at all timesPerforms other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
Education And Experience
High School Diploma or GED plus two (2) years of experience in the cash handling and customer service fields with responsibility of a $2,500 or more bankroll, one (1) of the two (2) years must have been in a supervisory capacity; or a minimum of one (1) year as a Cage Cashier with TOGE. Must be 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Candidate must pass a basic Bank Teller/Money Handling Test. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license and to include the following:

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to stand for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to walk. The team member occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
Work is generally performed in the casino cage area with currency dust particles and a high noise level. Evenings, graveyards, holidays and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may also be required.
