Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy Family Practice team. The ideal candidate will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient daily operations while delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed
- Perform basic lab procedures, including specimen collection and point-of-care testing
- Manage patient flow to maintain an efficient schedule
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Handle prescription refills and pharmacy communications
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and infection control protocols
Qualifications:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a family practice or primary care setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
- Bilingual candidates are a plus
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Four-day workweek (if applicable)
