What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators?
DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
We currently have an opening for an Registered Nurse- as a International Mission Health Adviser (MHA). The MHA aids mission leaders with the health care needs of the missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in international areas of the world. This assistance occurs remotely and is available during pre-scheduled hours of the day Monday thru Friday. Service is provided through education, coordination with area medical advisers (AMA), and working with Missionary Medical / Aetna International to support missionary healthcare in each mission.
Training, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of residency.
- Five years minimum experience in clinical care
- Ability to fluently communicate medically in Spanish, French or Portuguese.

- Place the needs of the missionary in the center of decision
- Use reasonable judgement considering options when making
- Provide support and coordination for the health care needs of missionaries serving in an assigned number of international missions.
- Directly impact the health outcomes of missionaries through assessment and triage to appropriate level of care.
- Early assessment of chronic conditions to provide continuity and avoid exacerbations of symptoms and
- Is expected to be cost efficient in the recommendations and decisions regarding infield health care.
- Be mindful of fraud and abuse.
