What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Design Engineer position at DESE Research, Inc.?
DESE is seeking a Systems Test Scenario Designer to support the Rapid Scenario Prototyping (RaSP) Lab. The Scenario Design team uses their knowledge of the Missile Defense System (MDS) sensors, weapon systems, and element interoperability to construct test case scenarios for system of system tests to meet specified test goals and requirements. Threat flyouts are executed from a multitude of launch points and aim points, simulated radar locations are determined, and performance metrics analyzed. Our knowledge is constantly expanding. The team is also developing cutting-edge tools on the latest hardware. The qualified candidate will be able to analyze requirements and constraints, utilize existing tools and provide input for future tool development, and quickly learn the MDS. This role is ideal for an experienced candidate who enjoys learning, analyzing data, solving complex problems, innovating processes, and producing excellent products.

Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar technical discipline
- 3 years of experience (minimum) in system analysis or characterization of MDS components (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis, CD, UEWR, SBX, TPY-2, LRDR, etc.) to include weapon system and/or radar analysis experience
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Able to track multiple tasks at the same time
- Highly motivated and committed to completing tasks with excellence and within deadlines
- Be able to effectively work within a fast-paced team environment
- Active SECRET clearance
- Experience with Tableau, SQL, and/or Python
