The Deschutes Brewery Tasting Room is hiring a part-time, seasonal Beertender/Tour Guide to join our team! This role is all about creating unforgettable first impressions-welcoming guests, sharing our story, and delivering exceptional craft beer experiences.

Compensation
- $16–$17/hour (DOE)
- Tip pool (averaging an additional $4–$7/hour, depending on season)
Seasonal Details

What You'll Do
- Create a welcoming, fun, and memorable experience for every guest
- Pour and serve draft beer while showcasing our portfolio
- Lead engaging, informative brewery tours and tastings
- Share the Deschutes Brewery story, culture, and product knowledge
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting tasting room and entrance
- Stock and merchandise retail products with attention to presentation
- Complete opening and closing duties (cleaning, restocking, cash handling, etc.)
- Ensure smooth and efficient service, including accurate cash handling
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with laws and company policies
- Perform front desk duties including answering phones, directing calls to appropriate departments, and greeting/checking in guests, vendors, and contractors
- Support a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace
What We're Looking For
- A friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented personality
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking to groups (up to 20 people)
- Ability to stay calm, energetic, and professional in a busy environment
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Reliable and punctual-consistency is key
- Passion for craft beer and eagerness to learn
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred, but not required
Requirements
- Valid OLCC Server's Permit at time of hire
- Food Handler's Certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Availability for evenings and weekends (required)
