Deschutes serves both Retirement plan clients and wealth management/planning clients but operates as one cohesive team. Advisors who may have both retirement plan consulting and individual clients are backed up by our service team. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience working with high-net worth clients, business owners and executives.
Deschutes Investment Consulting is an independent SEC Registered Investment Advisory firm founded in 1997. The firm has grown significantly over the last few years and currently manages $2.5 Billion in assets.
Our advisors are fee-only fiduciaries and therefore are not compensated on product sales or commissions. The firm has offices in Portland and Bend Oregon. This position is located in our downtown Portland, Oregon office. In office hours Monday-Thursday and the option to work from home on Fridays.
As a senior investment advisor, you will be primarily responsible for managing and expanding assigned wealth management client relationships. You will also have the opportunity to support the growth of the firm by promoting the entire suite of services.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience as an investment advisor, having a Series 65, and a CFP® are required for this position. Experience using eMoney or other planning software is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY
Senior Investment Advisor, CFP®
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Investment Client Management.
· Primary advisor for an assigned group of wealth management and financial planning clients.
· Attract and expand individual wealth management relationships through collaborating with other team members, referrals from professional contacts and your own personal networks.
· Work with our senior financial planner on complex individual planning clients.
· Work with the wealth management team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients and prospects.
· Become knowledgeable and keep up to date on key systems including Charles Schwab, eMoney, Orion, Wealthbox and other programs.
· Support other members of the Deschutes team as needed.
Professional & Educational Development
· Team members are required to satisfy continuing education requirements and to attend occasional company-sponsored educational conferences which may require overnight travel.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education and Work Experience
· Undergraduate Degree
· Series 65
· CFP®
· Proficient with Microsoft Office
· eMoney or other financial planning systems

Pay Range Based on Experience
Starting Salary $100K-$150K first year compensation. Significant upside based on revenue growth.
