ABOUT THE JOB:
Key Responsibilities:
- Clerical and office procedures and methods.
- Enter data into database programs.
- Search documents from departmental records as well as external sources.
Knowledge of or experience with:
- Record keeping principles and practices.
- Analytical and research methods.
- Report preparation methods.
- Keyboarding, filing and retrieval, and record-keeping skills.
- Effectively communicate standard information (verbally and in writing), to employ lines of inquiry, and to maintain harmony in a work setting.

Compensation
$4,480.39 to $6,004.15 per month for a 172.67 hour work month. Excellent County benefit package when eligible. This union-represented position is available immediately.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent;
- AND four (4) years of administrative support experience;
- OR any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience working in a government, state, county, or local election environment.
Necessary Special Requirements
Physical Demands
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without reasonable accommodation. These include the ability to work in an office that is environmentally controlled; possess sufficient hand coordination to perform keyboarding and data entry; arm/hand movements to retrieve work materials and operate a variety of general office equipment. The position is frequently required to sit, walk, stoop, bend, reach, stand, grasp, talk, hear, see, lift and carry 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Physical Requirements

Technical Skills
- With proper training, operate election equipment (ballot envelope sorter, letter folder, envelope opener, and ballot scanner)?
- Operate a computer, phone, printer, and other computer peripherals with fluency and ease?
- Use or be able to learn a variety of different software and operating systems?
Media and Publicity
- Be filmed by news media and county communications staff performing your job?
- Have your picture taken for media and social media?
