As a Series B growth-stage company, we are actively rebuilding our financial infrastructure to meet the complexity of our federal contracts with robust, compliant systems.OverviewThe Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth through strategic engagement with federal government agencies and defense contractors. This role requires a strong background in federal sales, particularly in environments requiring TS/SCI clearance, and a proven track record of cultivating new client relationships and expanding existing contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the federal defense, intelligence, and environmental sectors.Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders within government agencies, contractors, and partner organizations to generate new revenue streams.Lead efforts to pursue and capture federal contracts, including RFP responses, proposal development, and negotiations.Collaborate with technical and security teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client requirements and comply with security standards.Maintain a thorough understanding of federal procurement policies, security requirements, and customer mission priorities.Prepare and deliver presentations, capability demonstrations, and strategic proposals to secure new contracts.Track and report on sales pipelines, forecast future growth, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in federal sales, with a focus on security-sensitive environments requiring TS/SCI clearance.Proven success in developing new business in a government or defense context, especially in greenfield (new market) environments.Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, including proposal writing and negotiations.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into value propositions.Ability to work independently and proactively identify new opportunities.Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.Compensation & TravelCompetitive base salary and performance-based commissions.Travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and industry events, primarily within the U.S.
