What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics - Lifeguard / Coach position at DES MOINES GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB?
Job Summary:
Provide a safe, clean, and neat aquatics environment.
Work Performed:
- Provide supervision of the swimming pool to provide for the safety of all patrons.
- Record minor accidents on the chart. Fill out detailed accident reports for more serious accidents.
- Do rounds, picking up trash and replacing unused chairs for others to use.
- Interact with members to make their stay at the pool enjoyable and safe, explaining the reason for rules and the need to enforce them.
- Regularly see that locker rooms are neat, clean, and sanitary for the use of members and their guests.
- At opening, use the checklist to see that all is ready to begin the day.
- At closing, use the checklist to see that everything is put away and secured for the night and ready for opening the next day.
- Assist, when needed, by sitting at the sign-in book. Be sure that everyone using the pool is properly signed in.
- Attend all trainings and meetings throughout the season.
- Other duties as assigned by managers, administrative assistant, and/or Aquatics Director.
Special Qualifications:
Must have current certification in Lifeguarding and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
