$1,123 per Equivalent Credit Hour (ECH).

Job Summary
Adjunct Student Development Instructor to teach in person SDV courses at DMACC Ankeny campus.

Essential Functions
Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in any discipline or a bachelor’s degree with a professional tested experience equivalent to 6000 hours.
Transcripts and/or work experience will be reviewed to determine credentialing for the discipline Demonstrated ability to establish a maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals with varied backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications
At least one year of experience working in a community college setting as an instructor, academic advisor, counselor or a related position.
Keen understanding of contemporary student success methodologies.
Experience teaching in an online environment.

Work Schedule
Various in-person hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm on the Ankeny Campus.
