Tow Truck Driver

Overview

Full time pay for on-call weekend shift. Friday 5pm - Monday 7am on call for towing and roadside services. Must have minimum of two years experience, towing endorsement and medical card. Call for details. 315-646-1026 land line

Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles efficiently and safely
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, minor repairs, and vehicle diagnostics to ensure tow readiness
• Secure vehicles properly using cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit
• Safely load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks while adhering to safety standards
• Assist with vehicle recovery towing, including accident scenes or breakdowns, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and conflict management skills when interacting with customers or other parties
• Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle details, and service reports
• Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle mechanics, cargo securement, and driving regulations

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving or car towing with a valid driver’s license and towing endorsement
• Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, minor repairs, and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers
• Familiarity with flatbed towing equipment and vehicle recovery towing techniques

• Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally when assisting distressed clients

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
