What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Assistant/Data Entry position at Dermatopathology Northwest PLLC?
We are a small but extremely busy pathology lab in Bellevue looking for a reliable, friendly, hardworking, ethical and detail oriented front office assistant who can also fill in at other positions when the need arises. Tasks will primarily be data entry, answering phones, and medical billing but will also involve customer service and other general office tasks.
Qualified applicants will possess the following:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy
* Ability to "multi-task" in a very busy medical office setting
* Previous experience in an medical office setting required.
* Previous experience with medical billing and coding preferred.
*Previous experience with obtaining Prior Authorizations preferred.
* Self motivation and the ability to excel with minimal supervision
* Problem solving skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
The hours for this position are currently Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00pm, with some possible flexibility (9-5:30, 9:30-6). Once fully trained, it may be possible to switch to a "4 10s" schedule. Benefits included are Medical/Dental/Vision, PTO, 401K, profit sharing, and paid holidays.
