Staff Accountant Job Description
This position falls under the Chief Financial Officer and reports directly to the Accounting Manager. Significant potential for upward growth within the organization as this is a new role that is vital to our rapid growth. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for the assistance with month-end close tasks, supporting process automation/improvement, and related financial KPI’s. The Staff Accountant will drive the month-end close process by preparing key workpapers supporting journal entries. This person will also be a key contributor to process automation projects including integration of systems with our ERP software. This position provides growth opportunities with cross-collaboration across departments within the business.

Responsibilities Include
- In this role, the Staff Accountant will work closely with the finance team, billing department, the CFO, and will have regular exposure to Company ownership. We are looking for someone who can balance the need for profit opportunity with exceptional patient care.
- The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing the general ledger monthly close and related reporting including, but not limited to:
- Revenue
- Fixed Assets
- Lease Accounting
- Payroll
- Bank Reconciliations
- Expense Reconciliation
- Budget to Actual variance analysis
- The Staff Accountant will work with the Accounting Manager on projects to
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
- Improve internal controls through automation and system enhancements
- Support testing, documentation, and implementation of system changes, upgrades, and new modules impacting accounting and financial reporting
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and operational teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity across integrated systems
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and system workflows.
