Finance Intern Job Description
This position falls under the Chief Financial Officer and reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
This position is intended to provide the intern with general experience in various aspects of the
finance function. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Finance Intern is responsible
for the assistance with month-end close tasks and achieving a general understanding of financial
reporting.
Responsibilities Include

finance function. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Finance Intern is responsible
for the assistance with month-end close tasks and achieving a general understanding of financial
reporting.
Responsibilities Include
- In this role, the Finance Intern will work closely with the finance team and billing department to gain a general knowledge of the functions of the department.
- The Finance Intern will be responsible for assisting with the general ledger monthly close and related reporting including, but not limited to:
- Revenue
- Fixed Assets
- Lease Accounting
- Payroll
- Bank Reconciliations
- Expense Reconciliation
- Budget to Actual variance analysis
- The Finance Intern will work with the Accounting Manager and other finance team members to:
- Gain a general understanding of financial reporting and budget vs. actula reports.
- Understand controls around AP processes (approval workflows, corporate cards, processing checks, etc.)
- Contribute to the development of reconciliation templates for key balance sheet accounts (fixed assets, leases, etc.)
- Obtain general knowledge of the processing of payroll, timecard approvals, and other general tasks within the payroll system.
