Registered Nurse (RN or RNFA) – Dermatology & Surgery Center
Well-established, patient-focused dermatology practice and surgery center seeking a motivated RN or RNFA to join our growing team. Our practice provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care for patients of all ages in a collaborative and supportive team environment. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse seeking a LONG-TERM career path with the potential to grow into a leadership role as the leader of our surgical team, working closely with our Medical Director and Nurse Manager. 2 years of dermatology or surgical experience required. We provide hands-on clinical training.
Position Highlights
- Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends, evenings or on-call)
- Full-time (4-5 days/wk, 40 hours, with a comprehensive benefits package)
- Willing to consider part-time (3 days/wk), must be flexible and include Mondays and Tuesdays
- Lead our surgical team and manage patient flow
- Provide care and education to patients during pre-, intra- and post-op phases
- Help train and oversee clinical staff
- Work in a team environment and contribute to improving outcomes
- Build rewarding relationships and have a lasting impact on patients
- Receive mentorship and training from leaders in the field of dermatology
- Grow your management skills and assist Nurse Manager with clinic operations
- RNFA will assist with suturing minor surgical excisions and Mohs surgery
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical team leader in delivering high-quality surgical patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director
- Assist providers during surgical, medical, and cosmetic procedures
- Document and scribe clinical encounters using electronic medical records (EMR)
- Oversee and coordinate surgical schedule
- Assist Nurse Manager to develop, implement and adhere to federal, state and local regulations
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment
- Participate in quality assessment to improve the delivery of patient care
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in dermatology or surgery required
- Active Maryland RN license or compact state RN license
- Current BLS or ACLS certification
- RNFA requires certification and ACLS
- Strong organizational, multitasking and EMR skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Interest in long-term growth and leadership development
