What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Solutions Specialist position at DERMATOLOGY MANAGEMENT LLC?
The position is based in the Mesa, AZ and is a hybrid in-person/remote role.
The Systems Solutions Specialist position reports through the Business Integrations & Systems Solutions department. This position currently does not have direct reports. The Systems Solutions Specialist provides system optimization, performance and revenue recognition of particular systems on the West Dermatology platform including, but not limited to, NextGen PM, EMA EHR, Phreesia, Waystar, etc.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- NextGen File Maintenance to include:
- Contracts – Fee Schedules
- SIM exceptions
- New providers
- New locations
- Service Item Master
- Auditing of Contract fee schedules vs Payer Payments Received
- Partner with Managed Care team on fee schedule rates & rate variances
- NextGen Workflow Optimizations utilizing system enhancements
- Upgrades
- Utilities
- Tasking
- Assist with NextGen PM Version Upgrade(s) testing/validation and other system upgrades as needed
- Automation implementations in systems
- System training to field and support staff as needed
- Participate in various department meetings as needed
- Business travel may be required by air or by car as needed
- Other tasks, projects and duties as assigned including but not limited assisting with: clearinghouse setup/functions, helpdesk coverage, spreadsheet cleanup/creation
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience within a distributed healthcare setting required
- Excellent presentation skills including written, verbal communication expertise
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, advanced Excel skills, Access and PowerPoint. Must have ability to produce and maintain reports and templates, incorporating the use of complex formulas, charts and graphs
- Strong analytical skills required to spot trends, explain root causes and drive changes to mitigate AR risk
Typical Physical Demands:

- Some bending and stretching required
