Position Summary
A highly motivated, skilled and experienced Dermatology Physician Assistant (PA) is sought to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background in dermatology and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with dermatologists and advanced practice providers to diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat various skin, hair, and nail conditions.
- Perform minor dermatological procedures, including biopsies and excisions.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide patient education on skin health, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) of patient encounters and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with supervising physicians, nurses, and other support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Handle patient inquiries and manage patient communications efficiently.
Qualifications
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Virginia.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) with prescriptive authority.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a Dermatology practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in dermatological procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and wound care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Strong computer skills and experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- A positive and adaptable demeanor, thriving in a fast-paced clinical environment.
